6 Article of Faith

(1) KNOWING ALLAH :

 Allah created everything without hands.

Allah exists without a body, place, or direction.

Allah does not have a beginning.

Allah does not have an end.

Allah does not need anything, but everything needs Allah.

 Allah sees everything without eyes.

 Allah hears everything without ears.

Allah knows everything without a mind, book, or teacher.

Whatever Allah Willed to be shall be, and whatever Allah did not Will to be shall not be.

The Will of Allah is eternal and everlasting. The Will of Allah does not change.

Allah is attributed with life, but the life of Allah is not like our lives. Our lives are by the Combination of body and soul (spirit). Our lives begin and end. The Life of Allah is eternal and everlasting. The Life of Allah is without a body or soul (spirit).

Allah is the Most-Powerful. The Power of Allah is not like our power. We get tired and weak.

We always change. Allah creates everything that exists without changing or getting tired.

Change is for the creation only and not the Creator. Everything is easy for Allah.

Allah is not similar to the creation in any way.

Allah is not a body, light, or spirit (soul).

Allah has no likeness or similar whatsoever.

Allah is attributed with Al-Kalam, which is not letters, sounds, or languages. The Kalam (speech) of Allah does not have a beginning or end. We cannot imagine the attributes of Allah. We cannot imagine the Kalam of Allah.

THE GOLDEN RULE: WHATEVER YOU IMAGINE IN YOUR MIND IS A CREATION, AND ALLAH IS NOT LIKE THAT.

Precious Benefit: Allah existed before time and place. Allah is the Creator of time and place.

Allah is not in or on a place because place is for bodies. Allah is not contained by the six directions (up, down, right, left, front, and back).

Extra Benefit: The Name of Allah ?AN-NUR? does not mean ?The Light? because Allah created light and darkness. AN-NUR, the Name of Allah means the One who creates the light of belief in the hearts of all the believers, and could also mean the One who gave this world light with the sun, moon, and daylight.

(2) KNOWING THE HONORABLE ANGELS:

We must love all the Angels and firmly believe they exist.

We must know that Angels have a choice and always choose to obey.

Angels have beautiful names like Jibra?il, and Mika?il.

Angels are honorable creations of Allah.

 Angels are created from light.

Angels are not male or female.

Angels do not marry or have children.

Angels do not eat or sleep.

Some angels have two, three, or four wings.

 Some Angels have 600 wings.

 Angels have mighty strength.

 Some Angels record our deeds.

One Angel takes the soul out of the body upon death.

Some Angels help people in distress.

Some Angels question people in the grave.

Some Angels send salam (special greetings) to the Prophet Muhammad in Al-Madina.

Jibra?il delivered sacred revelations, and is the best Angel. Jibra?il taught our Holy Prophet the Qur?an and Hadith.

NOTE: Angels have many duties they do in worship to Allah, but we do not say they help Allah. It is not permissible to call Angels ?God?s helpers? because Allah does not need anyone.

(3) THE HOLY BOOKS:

Allah sent many Prophets, but not all came with Holy Books.                 The Holy Books are full of wisdom and guide to the truth.

There were many Holy Books revealed. The most famous of the Books were four.

1-Prophet Moses (Musa) came with a Holy Book named AT-TAWRAH

2- Prophet David (Dawud) came with a Holy Book named AZ-ZABUR

3-Prophet Jesus (^Isa) came with a Holy Book named AL-INJIL

4-Prophet Muhammad came with the greatest Book AL-QUR?AN

The Qur?an has never changed and will never change. The other three books have been changed.

(4) THE PROPHETS OF ALLAH:

No pious Muslim can ever attain the status of Prophethood. One Prophet is better than all the pious Muslims.

All Prophets were Muslim. All prophets were handsome men.

All Prophets had miracles. All Prophets received revelations (wahiyy).

All Prophets called people to worship Allah. All Prophets were trustworthy.

 All Prophets were always honest

 All Prophets were extremely intelligent.

 All Prophets were very brave

 All Prophets were extremely generous.

All Prophets loved the good and promoted it.

All Prophets hated the evil and rejected it

Adam was the first Prophet Muhammad is the final Prophet.

The Prophets had the best manners.

The Prophets had the most calamities.

The Prophets were the most patient.

The Prophets were the most thankful.

Prophets never worshipped anyone other than Allah.

Prophets never committed enormous or small abject sins.

 Prophets never cheated or lied.

Prophets never had a slip of the tongue.

 Jinn never possessed Prophets.

Prophets were never harmed by magic.

Prophets never gave up calling to Islam.

 Prophets never stuttered.

 The Prophets bodies never decay.

Prophets enjoy a special life in their graves.

Prophets never doubted the Existence or Power of Allah.

Prophets never withheld what they were ordered to convey.

Prophets never had repelling diseases like leprosy, or worms coming out of them.

Prophets never stopped anyone from becoming Muslim.

(5) THE DAY OF JUDGMENT:

Those whom have died are either enjoying pleasures or suffering severe punishments in their graves.

On the Day of Judgment everyone whoever lived will come out of his/her grave, in body and soul.

Humans, Jinn, and animals will be resurrected and assembled on the changed earth.

The changed earth is a flat place with no mountains or valleys and is surrounded by Angels.

The Day of Judgment will last for 50,000 years but pass quickly for the pious.

The sinful Muslims will rush to ask for Shafa^ah (help through intercession) from the Prophets, martyrs, pious Muslims, and Angels.

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon Him) is the first to give Shafa^ah (intercession) to the sinful Muslims.

The tortures and rewards in the hereafter are true in body and soul.

True is the Mizan, which is a balance on which the books of deeds are weighed on.

True is the Sirat, which is a long, wide, slippery bridge that stretches over Hellfire.

True is the Hawd, which is a huge basin of water that Muslims will drink from before entering Heaven and never get thirsty afterwards.

Heaven (Al-Jannat) and Hellfire (Jahannam) are two true places that exist now and will continue to exist forever.

In Al-Jannat (Heaven) Allah will give power to the eyes of the Muslims to see Him, without being in a place or direction. Seeing Allah in Heaven is no way similar to the way we see a creation. There is no distance between Allah and the creation. The Muslim will see the One who has no equal or likeness. Allah is not in Al-Jannat or any other place because place is for bodies.

(6) AL-QADAR (TAQDIR):

Allah created both good and evil. If all the people wanted to harm you and Allah Willed to protect you, you wouldn?t be harmed.

Allah ordered the good and forbade the evil. If all the people wanted to help you but Allah did not Will for that help to reach you, you wouldn?t be helped

Allah accepts and blesses the good but does not accept nor bless the evil. We have a will. We were created with a choice, but our will is under the Will of Allah.

Allah is not harmed by the evil we do. Allah is not benefited by the good we do.

There is a wisdom in everything Allah created, even if we don?t know. We are asked and judged for our actions. Allah is not asked about His doings.

Everything is the way it is because Allah Willed that. The Will of Allah does not change. Whatever Allah Willed to be shall be, and whatever Allah did not will to be shall not be.

Allah guides with His mercy whomever He Wills to see the truth and accept it and Allah misguides whomever He Wills by his Justice and gives them  what they deserve.

AL-HAMDU LILLAHI WA-SALL-ALLAHU ^ALA SAYYIDINA MUHAMMADINN WA ^ALA ALIHI WA SAHBIHI WA SALEM TASLIMA.

 4. A gem with regards to our Belief in God

(a brief summary by a renowned Islamic scholar)

I begin with the name of Allah, the Lord of the Worlds.  I praise Him and I seek His generosity and forgiveness. I humbly ask Him to raise the rank of Prophet Muhammad and protect his nation from what he feared for them.  I profess that no one is God except Allah, and I reaffirm my belief about Allah as beautifully stated by the famous Shafi^iyy scholar, Shaykh Fakhrud-Din Ibn ^Asakir, who died in 620 AH:

Allah is the only God in His Dominion.  He created the entire world, the upper and lower, the ^Arsh and Kursiyy, the heavens and earth, and what is in them and in between them.

All the creation is subjugated by His Power.  No speck moves except by His will.

He has no manager for the creation with Him, and has no partner in Dominion.

He is attributed with Life and His Existence does not come to an end (al-Qayyum).  He is not seized by somnolence or sleep.

He is the One Who knows about the unforeseen and what is evidenced by His creation.  Nothing on earth or in heaven is hidden from Him.  He knows what is on land and in the sea.  Not a leaf does fall but He knows about it.  There is no grain in the darkness of earth, or anything that is moist or dry except which is inscribed in a clear Book.  His Knowledge encompasses everything.  He knows the count of all things.

He does whatever He wills.  He has the power to do whatever He wills.

To Him is the Dominion and He needs none; To Him belong the Glory and Everlastingness.  To Him are the Ruling and the Creating (al-Qada').  He has the Names of Perfection.  No one hinders what He decreed.  No one prevents what He gives.  He does in His dominion whatever He wills.  He rules His creation with whatever He wills.

He does not hope for reward and does not fear punishment.  There is no right on Him that is binding, and no one exercises rule over Him.

Every endowment from Him is due to His Generosity and every punishment from Him is just.  He is not questioned about what He does, but they are questioned.

He existed before the creation.  He is not attributed with a before or an after, an above or a below, a right or a left, an in front of or a behind, a whole or a part.

It must not be said:  When was He?  Or Where was He?  Or How is He?  He exists without a place.  He created the universe and willed for the existence of time.  He is not bound to time and is not designated with place.

His management of one matter does not distract Him from another.  Delusions do not apply to Him, and He is not encompassed by the mind.  He is not conceivable in the mind.  He is not imagined in the self nor pictured in delusions.  He is not grasped with delusions or thoughts.

{Laysa kamithlihi shay'un wa Huwas-Sami^ul-Basir}

This ayah from Surat-ash-Shura (11) means:  [Absolutely nothing is like Him   and He is attributed with Hearing and Sight.]
